The fact that, in the YT comments, the driver of the truck tries to claim he “knew where to hit the car” to keep the driver safe is ADORABLE. Ok bro.
Was the Civic driver in the wrong? Yep. Did the semi driver, by attempting to avoid impact by driving in front of the Civic driver, make things worse? Maybe. Either way, whole lotta derp going on there.

There was really nothing else the truck driver could’ve done. At 0:27 the Civic looks like it’s about to stop. I would’ve kept driving like the truck driver did as well. But then the Civic accelerated and I really doubt the truck driver could’ve went around the rear of the Civic or turned right onto the other road. He might’ve been hauling something?

Yea, I totally understand that. I just find it funny that the truck driver tried to act like he planned the collision out.

You are right. If a person has ever driven a 40 ton loaded truck, (I have) you do not make excessive moves or you will lose control and probably do more damage to yourself or others. He did what he had to. The moron in the Honda actually got away a lot easier than it could have been.
